PROJECT INTRODUCTION

The proposed project is designed with three substantive components that address the identified barriers to promoting energy efficient (EE) boiler manufacturing, as well as its adoption by end-users. The proposed project’s interventions will facilitate the development of both end-use and supply sides of the EE industrial boiler market in Vietnam through policy and regulations on a boiler standardization system that can enforce the usage of EE boilers and capacity building of local boiler manufacturers, boiler operators, end-users, energy consultants, energy service providers, energy service companies, boiler providers and access financial assistances. This project is being jointly implemented by Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization starting November 2015 – October 2019.

OBJECTIVES

  • Total energy saving: 1,955,304 GJ/year;
  • Total greenhouse gas emissions reduction: 183,736 ton of CO2/year
